Platinum (^JPLAT) sees a remarkable return over the past month with a return of 29.96% from 4th February to 4th March. This demand is led by the strong need for its ability to reduce harmful emissions in cars. It is a critical part in a catalytic convertor in car exhausts. This commodity has consistently risen over the past year with an increase of +86.96% over the last year. Gasoline Futures

Gasoline Futures (CME_RB1) are up 24.56% over the past month. A drop in U.S. gasoline stockpiles that was more than double market expectations lifted futures prices for the fuel to their highest in over four months. Following a severe rise in domestic US crude inventory oil prices have declined. U.S. President Donald Trump said trade talks between Beijing and Washington were moving along well but offered few details.

Selling in equities played a significant part in today’s oil price weakness,” Jim Ritterbusch, president of Ritterbusch and Associates, said in a note. “Further reduction in risk appetite and any additional downgrades in the global economic growth path could eventually weigh across the energy spectrum.”
